Through our arts and educational programs and our permanent collection, the Swedish American Museum interprets the immigrant experience for children and adults and promotes an appreciation of contemporary Swedish-American culture.

This year’s Gala will honor the Chicago Swedish Mixed Chorus. The Chicago Swedish Mixed Chorus was formed in 1938 when three Swedish singing groups in Chicago decided to merge. Together they formed the Chicago Swedish Male Chorus. Over the years the chorus has grown as other singing groups decided to join and in 2017 the chorus decided to invite women to join and they changed their name to reflect the addition.

This has been a year of challenges and we are asking for your support to achieve a strong financial outcome to help the Museum.
